Each quote covers different work
One allows for the retaining wall. One leaves it out. One sets aside a rough figure.
Upload your plans. We read every line and write out the full scope of works. Every builder prices that same scope, so you can see what sits behind each number.

The page changes to suit your questions and your next step.
Every builder prices to their own assumptions, so no two quotes cover the same work.
One allows for the retaining wall. One leaves it out. One sets aside a rough figure.
Three formats, three sets of inclusions, and no way to tell which number is complete.
The cheapest quote is usually the one that left the most out. The rest arrives later, at a price nobody competed on.

Four steps. You do the first one, we do the rest.

The overview
Corten Build Co. is $37,000 cheaper on paper, but $105,000 of its price sits in allowances of its own choosing that Meridian Building Co has priced in full. If those allowances overrun their stated figures by more than 35%, the saving is gone. The decision is not which number is lower; it is how much you trust the allowances.
Where the money stands
Each bar is a tender price. The solid part is committed; the lighter tail can still move.

For the round
CBFor Corten Build Co.
Nobody prices your job anonymously. Every builder is vetted before they see it, and the rules they price under are published before the round opens.
We check each builder’s ABN against the Australian Business Register, and their licence against the state register where one connects and by our team where it does not. A builder takes a spot on an open round only once both have passed. Insurances are declared under signature with the tender.
Each line points to the document, page and revision it came from, and anything we cannot trace is removed. The pack cannot be approved while anything is unread, and nothing reaches a builder until you approve it.
Every tender is read against the same six things: how firm the price is, how much of the scope it covers, how well it is prepared, who the builder is, how they deliver, and how believable the programme is. Each one shows its working, so you can see why one tender sits above another.
The contract is signed directly between you and your builder.

“We’d already been quoted by two builders and the numbers were pages apart, impossible to line up. Putting the plans up here and getting everything back in the same format is what finally let us pick one without second-guessing.”

Victoria announces 10 business day assessments for eligible developments of up to four homes
Victoria has announced a faster planning assessment pathway for eligible developments of up to four homes on a block. A new report finds that a median-income household can afford around 12% of the homes sold nationally. And the Reserve Bank has signalled that another rate rise remains possible in September.
